Sweet, thanks for hooking me up with the info.![]()
the neve 1073, 1081, and 1084 have the same preamps, just different EQ sections.

this will need to be short because I'm typing with grubby hands... I'm working on my car.
the 1084 is a rolls royce 1073 with switchables highs, hi-q on mid, and hp + lp filters.
All the 10** 283 + 284 based channel amps worked with two fixed gain input amplifiers preceded by (and at high gains followed by) a stepped attenuator.
the 1081 is totally different as it uses a single input amp (338) for all gains. So it's a switched gain amp with the feedback ratios manipulated in the sensitivity switch. All the eq stages are active (6 individual amps total including hp/lp) whereas the 1073/84 have only two eq active stages. The 340 output amp is class AB.
These are the general differences... sorry I can't type more but my keyboard is getting very messy!
Kind regards
Geoff
My thinking was to add a new section to the main page in the User Console that would be labeled: "Latest Group Buy News". In this section, it would list the "latest" mass email that Chance sends out... Just below that there would be a button that would be labeled: "View ALL Group Buy News". By clicking this button, you could do just that, view all the mass emails that have been sent by Chance, sorted from the latest/newest, to the oldest...
Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts and suggestions before I did this...

Good idea, as long as it's only available to people who are logged in -- otherwise, the "veiwership" of the emails expands, and that's probably not what we want.T"View ALL Group Buy News". The 1073 and 1084 have the same pre but the 81 is a different beast. I'm not sure if the ACMP 81 reflects that difference.
Here's what Geoff Tanner has to say:

There were several new people registered for the group buy today. This got me to thinking about something that I wanted to run by you here and get your feedback on.
Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts and suggestions before I did this...
