yeah all three definitely have their merrits.... i think #1 might be my choice just from looking at them.... i'd have to see some more detailed specs first though.

I understand, but I'd never, ever use it. My preference would be for a smaller, more portable unit with at least two channels in the box. Pretty much all of my work is done on location, so I'd never use the EQ while tracking. So the simpler two-channel unit is the only one that holds any appeal for me. But that's OK, the goal here is to meet the needs of the many, not the few. I can just sit this one out if my needs don't align well with the rest of the group.Actually, if you look under the phantom power switch, there is an EQ defeat/bypass switch.
The benefit of the EQ, is that you have the Neve 1073 style of control going in to your recorder.
