i have a chrous line plus 3 over dub chorus lines. i have them grouped together so when i move one they all move together. the question is how do i copy and paste these tracks that i have grouped so i can move them to the next chorus line part so i dont have to repeat the chorus.

thanks

I don't know, but what I usually do is just mix them down to one file and slide the new file over onto a clean track with no FX, EQ, etc. This works fine if you're sure about the verb, EQ, panning, etc.

Anyway, I've wondered about your question too, but I'm too lazy to ask when I'm in the middle of a session, lol.

Don't know if this will work in CEP, but in Audition try this:

1. Right-click one of the grouped clips. All grouped clicks should be highlighted (selected).

2. Hold down the [SHIFT] key. While holding this down (and the right mouse button), drag your clips to the right in the same track, or into an open track below.

3. This will "auto-copy" all your grouped clips. Then, align/place in the song where needed.

Pretty handy for those repeating choruses.

You can also just loop the chorus, spread them out in the same track or drag them into an empty track & line them up if you want. If you're using them in the same track you don't have to fiddle with volume adjustment or adding effects again.

see, posts like that are the reason I come in here. THANKS!!!

My pleasure. I've been digging your songs since I first showed up here, so I'm glad I could reciprocate.

BTW- you ever play 6th St in Austin? Great town to play and check out live music as I'm sure you know... SXSW is amazing...

it works!!!!!!
