Whats up all. I am new to this site and home recording and have got so much info from just by lerking around. I recently picked up a GT 67 and a Mindprint DTC. I first picked up a Rhodes nt1000 that was a little sizzely on the top which Im thinking of returning it for a MXL69. The Rhodes sounded good until I a/b it with the GT67. I love it for the warmth and the super cardioid mode because I record in the same room as the noisy G5. Any word on a change of tubes in both the 67, and the DTC. Is the tube in the 67 and the dtc soildered or plug and play. Thanks al for all the info.

If the GT67 is anything like my GT66, then yes it's a soldered in tube. Not too hard to replace if you have some soldering experience, but not something to try as your first project either.

You need to find the older MD1, MD2 and MD3 (and the "a" reissues) GT mics if you want to swap out tubes easily. The newer ones are all soldered in.
