Don't give me that garbage, either. I've seen you participate here for a few years now, and I know that you know better than you're letting on in this thread.

The only reason you're getting hung up is because of your own problems with the source of the information, because otherwise this thread would have ended over thirty posts ago with you saying, "D'oh. Oh yeah." But you'd rather drag this out for forty posts than to admit that you were unable to correct ol' bad boy SSG, because he wasn't actually wrong. Where's the poor behavior in that equation? Christ, NYM, it's not a big deal, let it go already and stop yanking everybody's chain, including your own.

And to the OP. You got all the information you could possibly get on how to reduce the feedback, by any number of given methods, from a few different folks. Do us all a favor and close this thread.

Why do you need to make this a personal thing? I told you before it had nothing to do with you but you continue to make it so.

I'm trying to have an intelligent conversation about feedback control and you seem to be stuck in a feedback loop. Are you having trouble because you can't prove you're right?

For a person that is so technically oriented why is it you're saying the answer is common sense and not proving anything out? Since when has common sense ever been an acceptable answer around here? Get over yourself and stick to the issue and if you can't, just ignore the thread and stop trolling me.

The OP never stated that monitors were being used, Or where the speakers are located in relationship to the mic.

My guess is he is practicing with no monitors in a basement with poor acoustics and using PA speakers pointed at the band, so you get feed back. Is the mic plugged into an amp or a mixer?

Either way turning the vol knob down or reducing pre amp gain will help some. But not if standing in front of the source of amplification. Try a foam wind screen too.
