awesome tune Emeric.....

Hey thanks guys, appreciate it. I posted that one awhile ago and thought acoustictones might like it, being an Albert Lee fan.

this isn't my style of music, but i think it is slamming sonically...you hit right on the nail. everything sounds crisp and clear..excellent solo at 1:30...the bass is sharp, in a good way..great drum sound..is it a real kit or programmed? if it is real, you did an excellent job micing. the only thing i needed more from the track was concept...it progressed well and the playing is great, but it lacks an overall "purpose," which still works on its own, just my thought. if you have time, come check me out at

it is nothing like this, but maybe you can take something positive from it..

Emeric, as you well know, I am a great fan of your music. I have heard this one before and it is a part of my growing colletion of your tunes.

You are truly, most awesomely, talented, my friend!!!:)

great!!!!

sounds a lot like Dreggs or Steve Morse...

cymbals maybe a bit to loud or harsh, otherwise i'm adding it to my collection as i listen to it again...

Emeric,

This one is a keeper...Great Job!!

I like the way that you get a sound that reminds me of Bela Fleck's banjo in certain parts.

I hope that you get to show off for the right people....

Regards,

Bloody Nora.

I am really glad I listened to this. Really, really nice guitar tones. Really, really good playing. Excellent use of panning and doubling. I really liked the tasteful use of the wah in the rhythm parts. Matter of fact thats a good word for the whole recording, a great song done in a very tasteful way IMO. I'm definately digging the change at 0:42 onwards a lot. This is my fifth time listening to it and the tune is just so good it distracts me from trying to pick holes in the way it's mixed, but I doubt I could. I really liked the maj7 chords at 1.12 and the following buildup to the solo. Liked the abrupt ending a lot also.

Savage, man, savage.

p.s Could you describe the gear used ?

Yeah, I also hear a bit of that Steve Howe neo-rockabilly sort of thing. Makes sense. I hear he was a big Albert Lee fan too.

Outstanding!:D

I'm listening with headphones, so It's hard to comment on the production. My only stylistic criticism is that, while the drumming is tight, it's a bit uninspired.

Great picking. At times it reminded me of the bluegrass-fusion jam songs from bands like the String Cheese Incident.

The drumming could use some variety; I would bring it down at least when the guitar gets quieter around 2:00.

samich17: Miced drums. I get what your saying about 'lacking overall purpose', it was an odd bit of notes to throw together. Thanks for listening to it.

langleyt: Thanks! (blushing)

Sonixx: I'm a big Steve Morse fan, don't really listen to these days, but I overdosed on 'The Introduction' years ago and never seemed to forget it.

Sonic Misfit: Bela Fleck, Cool! The thing with Albert Lee is that he does do a lot of tricks that can make guitar sound like another instrument, banjo, steel etc. I'm glad to rip them off as best I can.

PapillonIrl: Thanks for the detail. Yeah the Maj7ths are one part I like as well. Gear was:

Kick - D112
Snare - 57
OH - MXL 603s
Tom - 57
Floor - 421

Lado Electric through a POD
Fender Jazz Bass
Premier Drum Kit

Mackie 1402 Mixer
Delta 1010 SC
Computer
Monitors etc.

Glad you liked it!

barefoot: Steve Howe is another guitar player I'm a big fan of. Fans of fans. Drums might be uninspired, maybe. It was put down pretty quick, with little preperation before hand, my fault not the drummers (Plant).

LI Slim: String Cheese Incident? Doesn't ring a bell, will have to look into that one. Thanks for checking it out.

Thanks for the comments all.

No shit. You will like them. I think you can find their cd's at the Tower Records site.

Very nice Emeric!

Ahh. So that's what I need to play like this. ;)

I've never been a big POD fan. However, I've gotta admit it sounds great here.
