By a pure stroke of luck, I have stumbled across an opportunity to solve many of the nagging problems we’ve all had with the management of HomeRecording.com.
(OK, I admit that I’m in charge of managing HomeRecording.com, and that you’re usually the ones nagging me about the problems. But still, this is a Good Thing, so please keep reading.)
The biggest problem I’ve had relates to trying to moderate and keep up with all the forums. For whatever reason, I’ve had a hard time assigning moderators from the member community.
So, almost by accident, I happened to read an email that had been marked automagically as “spam”, but it wasn’t. It was from a guy named Philippe Raynaud, who wanted to talk about a possible partnership. I get emails like this all the time, but he didn’t sound like a spammer, and in fact when I went to his website (https://en.audiofanzine.com/), I was very impressed, because he’s done just about everything I’ve always wanted to do with HomeRecording.com. He’s also built a good team, which is important.
Anyway, we talked back and forth a few times by email, and then by phone, and it turns out he started Audiofanzine just the way I did with HomeRecording.com, as a musician (who, like me, is now too busy to even play music most of the time). And even better, he’s a really nice guy. So to make a long story short, he and his team are going to help moderate HomeRecording.com and help me clean it up and update it and all the good stuff that I haven’t always had time to do.
And all I ask of you, as usual, is your patience, forbearance, and support.
Thanks and best regards,
Dragon
P.S. Philippe is known here as Psycom.
P.P.S. I've started a forum to discuss all this and you can find it here.
