Great new BB from Mix Magazine!!

I dont get it. It's empty. Isn't that like saying a blank notebook is a great book?
 
Oh come on. Go easy on Carmen. It's a new BB, of course it's still empty.

I thank Carmen for bringing that board to my attention because: Nobody there knows me yet, so I can talk loud about all sorts of gear I know nothing about and people will listen ... that is until they through me out of course :D ..... wait, it's a BB they can't kick me out there. Yeay!
 
Why crosspost it? If you like it, go hang out there. No need to post it on all of our message boards.

Or do you only want to go there if we come to? Then why not... uh... just stay here?
 
I checked it out and have to say I don't like the layout. The one here makes more sense in terms of dividing the posts up into categories that pertain to what you're actually looking for. I think I'll stay here.

Not everyone here is a "musician," so I don't see how you're posting it just for them. And I don't see how crossposting makes it any more helpful or useful as a resource. It just makes it more annoying.

Moderator? Umm, what moderator? Did you learn anything from the sonusman posting fest a few months back?

And you ask why I care. I care because I enjoy being here, and using this community, and I don't enjoy bullshit crossposting SPAM. However, I have no problem with you doing it over there. ;)

Crossposting gets it to a wider audience.
I only go to the Microphone and Rack forums, so that's where I posted it.
The moderator is listed at the top of the page.

Cut that poor ...uhm ... guy/girl (Carmen?) some slack. He just told us about a new BB which is cool. I don't think Carmen implied that he'll leave this BB or even asked us, his closest buddies ;) , to start an exodus. And it's definitely not like it's "us" against "them at the other BB" ... so, there's a new BB in town that you can go to if you don't find your answers here.

Actually, seeing how bitchy everyone's getting here (incl. CC), maybe we could fight our little alpha-male arguments over at the new forum and be all peaceful here ... ? :o

Unfortunately, you have a hard time taking the criticism.

That's not a slam, Carmen, it just makes one wonder what your motives are.
Personally, I think it was just to inform others of an alternative to this BBS. But you're dealing with some die-hard loyalists here, of which I happen to also be one.
When the dust settles, people may eventually go over there.
But posting the link in two seperate forums (both of which have nothing to do with the subject matter) is apparently viewed to be "in bad taste".
It should have been posted once in the Cave.

Im 99.9% sure Dragon wouldnt want links to competing BBS's.....all of us have posted links to articles and such at sites, but nothing that is direct competition to this site....

this issue has come up before...i cant remember the particulars....but Dragon deleted a thread because it posted a link to a competing site......

Carmen , you can go to my Artist Launch site if you wanna hear something i wrote, but they are only rough demos, and none of them use any good gear...i consider myself more a songwriter than a musician/engineer......

yep my one post mentioned the v67...but it also mentioned the C1.....;)
