its a good topic..but it is now the norm..now..music has changed to hear the stories of the streets...due to the fact of all the years it has been overlooked...so what they do is tell their story or someone elses story...yes its a Police Squad that just looks at rappers in the game...and yes its gettin old to hear the same crap..but right now thats whats sells...no one right now wants to hear "Wave your hands in the air" anymore (I Know I do miss it).. everyone wants to hear a story..rather you got it or not..just make it hot...

But I do believe you shouldnt air every damn thing in the Hood..cause its not meant to be heard by everyone but everything is aired out...(Remeber "American Me" 1992 film- Edward James Olmos was threathen with Death threats from the Mexican Mafia for the film..and according to 60 mins back in '68 three people who acted as consultants on this film were later murdered because of the depiction of a homosexual rape scene that reportedly deeply offended the Mexican Mafia's machismo.)

now its excepted..cause now most os the Rappers were on the streets doin that before they made it..( Master P and many others...)

do I think they snitching on themselves ..no..i thing they are proving to the world that their is a problem..but you can get out if you want to really try..unless they sayin name..then thats a different story...if they want to keep doin what they doin then thats the way they want to live...In the Rap Music industry..most style of Hip-Hop, Rap have a self-life its hot this year..but not in 5 years from now..its a cycle..like in all on life..

Good read QQ, and I agree with most of it. What people fail to understand is that most of that shit you hear today is industry created "entertainment". Hell yeah, most of it is highly exaggerated and falsified, but some people don't realize that all it is is entertainment. You want a message and possibly a good political statement, listen to hip-hop.

Rappers can go both ways with rap and hip-hop. I mean look at Ludacris. I see "Runaway Love" as hip-hop. It's telling a story and putting images in your head, but is still entertaining to listen to. But then you've got "Shake Ya Moneymaker" (and yeah I hate that song, always have, but a lot of people like it). Anybody who tries to tell me that's hip hop will probably get laughed at in their face with no reprecussion.

Some rappers like to mix up the elements in their songs and I don't see a problem with it. Then you got the endless supply of Laffy Taffy, dumbed down crap. Nothing wrong with putting out a song just for people to dance to and have a good time at the club, instead of poppin' heads at the same club. I personally don't like about 75% of it, but a lot of people do.

Anyway, back to the subject, seems like people been snitchin' on themselves since the early 90's, know what I mean? It's one thing if you're just talkin' shit or telling a story about it without putting actual facts about your involvement (if there was any) in it. It's another to talk about shit you've actually done, recreating the story (and how you did it) and putting yourself on blast at the same time.

Fiev.
