Great deal at Zzounds

I sold my acoustic set and have been plotting my strategy for an electronic kit. I figured all I could afford was a Hart Concert Cast Kit with a Roland TD6 module.

Today Zzounds sent a flyer offering Roland Studio Kits with the TD8 module for $1399.
These are not in factory packaging but are purported to be in excellent condition with full warranty. List is $2595. MF sells 'em for $1999, on sale now for $1895.

Just thought I'd throw that out for anyone shopping.

Gimme my Remo practice pads with piezo's and an Alesis DM5.

I'm not too familiar with the studio kit, and I'm sure it is way better than my setup. However, I prefer the feel of the Remo's over those rubber pads.

I'm not real thrilled about rubber pads either, but I suppose I'll get used to them.
I was hot for one of the Session or Pro sets but lust only rides so far on a back seat budget. That would have been another grand on top of what I paid for this kit.

Anybody wanna pay $5 under retail for a Studio kit?
