Graphics Cards For Recording PC

How good of a graphics card would I need for a recording pc? My current one is only the one attached to the motherboard. but should I get a better one? I have heard that some plugins use a lot of graphics, is that true?

Couldn't hurt to buy a card. You don't need one of those 'Xtreme fragmatic!!!1@$ 512MB DDR2' Gamer cards, just a mid-level chip to avoid using shared memory.

You can get a good card that suits your needs anywhere from $60 - $100.
