Got the CD!

All I can say is FANTASTIC job Slack, that's a lot of work putting together all the little details in the multimedia aspect.

The design, layout and appearance of the CD's are top notch.

I got two disk ones, but .... nah joking.

I was thinking. I think you mentioned somewhere about scrapping the multimedia aspect for the next one. But, since you already have the interface down, would it be much work to just port it over?

Anyway, don't know if that was the reason why it was being dropped. I guess this will all be discussed more as the next one comes around.

multimedia ideas..

Maybe (more ideas..) we could allow a certain amount of cd space per submitter to supply his or her own html,word,etc. file totally eliminating the work for slack... compose a song... compose (if u want) a page describing techniques used/pics of gear/etc..
just ANOTHER idea...

That was the original idea. It failed because nobody did anything. Maybe now that people see what I had in mind they'd be willing to send more information....but I have my doubts. Take a look at the Comp CD, you'll see that only about half of the contributors really sent in pictures or text....and only a handful of them sent what I'd consider to be enough to make it worthwhile again in the future. I gave extentions for getting me content...lots of extentions...like a year's worth. In the end more than one person even pulled thier stuff. It was a drag.

I guess if there was enough real demand I'd consider it. But a bunch of people doing their own thing sounds like "the web" to me, and web URL's will be included in the liner notes.

Just as a reminder, I've got a bunch more of these things to move! And to the contributors who haven't yet forked over their 20 bucks..........one day I'm just going to give up on you and sell your copy to somebody else.....I'll give you time but....man....at least shoot me an email saying that you intend on putting up eventually!
