I have a Kawai MP8. I bought it when I realized I couldn't afford a real piano, then found a too-good-to-be-true deal on a Mason & Hamlin grand which I bought and play daily. I dusted off the MP8 after several years of not playing it at all, but I don't feel that inspired with the sounds or that familar with its capibilities. I dont really need the piano as much (no synth rivals a quality live piano sound, IMO). I am interested, however, in more traditional synth sounds and layering in some sounds (from traditional rock organ sounds like Doors to synth heyday sounds like Yaz and Depeche Mode, to some bass sounds which I eventually would like to learn to layer in with my acoustic guitar and piano sounds...)

I thought perhaps I should consider a module (Minimoog or Yamaha rack mount) to supplement the sounds. Also, any advice on getting the most out of my MP8--I am sure I am not using its full potential...

I bought Logic but have not used it much and the computer currently is in another room.... maybe I should use some plug-ins here instead of a module?
