Picked up a Plextor 4x2.4 DVD+R/RW & CDRW USB/ Firewire External burner.
it's connected via USB. Someone please tell me that this thing will burn a regular CD R. When I try to burn a disc ( CDR TDK ) it says " media write protected" ?? But get this, It WILL burn a CDRW ???. Hope i didn't miss something here and get the wrong kind of burner...I hadn't planned to use the DVD feature right now, I was just looking for a good CD burner. I got it on E-Bay, say's it's factory re-furb...the unit itself looks really nice, looks new. Anyway, anyone know if this thing will burn a damn CD??
