Got a big room...now what?

I got a session coming next week and I got a really big room where I plan to record the drums, since I have always recorded in small / medium rooms, I wonder if there are some points to really take advantage of the situation? Only great room mics? or is there anything else? thanks

close mic, and overheads, but make sure you get the room mics right.

could be, that the room is TOO MUCH, and you don't want to get stuck.

Is it a big empty echoing room like a gymnaisum, or a great-sounding room like the Metropolitan Opera House?
