Gorty's..."One Of These Days"....

This is an instrumental I recorded last year as a soundtrack to a video for a mate of mine who owned a Surf Shop.

It tends to be a little long winded in the "verses", so I recorded some mellow changes and a interlude to break up the monotony.

I really dig the guitar tones on this.

Flutters my butter! :D

And tips my toast!! :eek:

Gorty...I can hear nothing wrong with the guitars...anywhere. I love the layered on guitars with the different tones...reminds me of an abstract painting, only with sounds.

The one thing however I would love to hear is a real drummer with this....it deserves it.

Great tune Gorty - I'm diggin all the leads in the verses, and the mellower stuff in between. Excellent tones happening on the guitar. Hot playing throughout. Really like this one!

Awesome Mr. Gortster! Really enjoyed this track :D
Dangerously good tones and like the ambiance you have in the rhythm section. Is that all effects on the guitar or do you have a synth in there too? Sounds cool, kind of moody and haunting...
Nice solo/break around 3:20
I'd bring the vox up a tad, they are hard to hear... jk :p :D :)

Oh yeah, and the "HOTTIE" says... "how do kangaroos play guitar like that?" :p :p :p :)

Thanx Snake for the comments, yep it is all effects and different pickup selection on the guitars...no synth this time around! I used my Stratocaster for this tune...it always delivers a nice rounded tone!

Excellent. Outstanding sound quality, it takes up a lot of sonic space but everything is crystal clear. Playing is good, nice and tight, its a great drum sound. One of the better things I have heard here, period. Thats quite a compliment ya know ;)

I appreciate the time you took in listening and your comments in regards to this recording. I enjoyed working on this piece and to hear fellow musicians such as yourself giving compliments and uplifting comments about my work makes it all worthwhile.

Nice tune! I really like the clean strat tones. I see that you have some of the same infuences as I do such as Judas Priest, Scorpions, Dio. Very cool!

Good choice of gtr voices - nothing approaching the generic.
