Hey all.

I've been looking everywhere to find a MOTU 8pre over in the US.
I'm from Australia, and basically, I'd rather pay $500 - $600 buying it from USA rather than $1000+ over here in Australia.

The thing is, I can't seem to find anywhere that will ship it to Australia...

www.musiciansfriend.com - Don't ship to Australia
www.zzounds.com/a--2676837 - Don't ship to Australia
www.ebay.com - The stores on there don't ship to Australia, there was only one, but the shipping was $120 USD, i thought that was rubbish.

so yeah.

all help would be much appreciated.

Thankyou

If you have a friend in the USA that it could be shipped to and then they ship it on to you, that would be a great way to get it.

I don't know how it works in other countries, but for me (having extreme taxes) I get buggered with import taxes. I once ordered a t-shirt from eBay from the US, cost me £5 including shipping. Ended up having to pay £24 for import tax.

Could be ways around it, tick it as a 'gift' and all that, but i'm no expert unfortunately.

If anyones coming to England anytime soon and willing to smuggle some equipment in, PM me :D

you can try Sweetwater, but they only accept international orders over the phone, and don't sell all of their products outside the US.

Yes. If the box marked "gift" is ticked, there are no duty fees accessed. And given the choices on the USPS form, "gift" IS the most accurate. I sell on eBay quite a bit and ship to Australia probably more than any other country, including Canada. USPS Priority Mail Int. to Australia is very good and fast.

Check out priceusa.com.au

They'll order the mixer from zzounds, musiciansfriend, music123 or whatever and ship it over here for you.
