I searched, but to no avail. List me some. Which are your favorites? Which ones suck? Price? Linkage?

Just thought I'd add that this is for use on Windows XP with N-Track.

I know this is for N-Tracks but how does locigs compressor compare to something like waves RCL?

Waves C4...the 3d version of the RCL.

I think ultrafunk's comp is pretty cool and can be very clean and transparent and less tubey sounding than the ren comp. And at $50 its a great deal.

Waves Ren Compressor
Sonic Time Works CompressorX
PSP Vintage warmer(not a traditional compressor, if u heard of fatso jr. it serves that same purpose and does a pretty darn good job for 149.99 considering fatso is $2000+ )

o and if ur using a MAC the Bombfactory plugs are the way to go
heard good things about all their compressors
the 1176, LA2A, fairchild...etc

More about Bombfactory

I would like to know more about Bomb factory plug-ins. I had not used them becuase I thought they were to hard on the memory, however, I just updated from 256 MB to 512 MB on my MAC and might, in light of that, consider some plug-in processors. I do have the Channel Strip from Metric Halo. It is pretty good, particularly the EQ but the compressor, maybe not as good but not bad. What advantage would there be in including the Bombfactory LA2A or an 1176 etc.

Another vote for the Waves R.C. and anything else by Waves for that matter.

I also have flavio's compressor.Great value for the money.

I dunno if i can find the link but they put the plug-in vs the vintage gear to listening test the 1176 one and they said though it didn't sound exactly like it, it did do a good job still. Those plugs are expensive as hell though
