Never Act Like U Know All
I am wondering, is it possible to get 'air quality' (if there is such a phrase) for right around the $2000 mark?
I know, I know, there are $5000 pre's, and $7000 compressors,
43000 mics, etc. But I have done a bunch of researching for a while and listened & learned that there are a few brands that are always in the high end studios (i.e. lexicon, SSL, etc.)
I have been in pro studios and seen the famous Rode NT1A mic. So I included that in the list.
Starting with the mic and a good effects processor and autotune processor:
Rode - NT1A - good all around mic great for pro vocals
SSL - Alpha Channel - good quality mic pre, filter, eq & dynamics
Lexicon - MX400 - dual stereo/surround reverb effects processor
Antares - AVP Vocal Producer - pitch correction, mic modeling, de-esser
Total: $1952
Sucks, not bad or pretty good for the price?
Like I said, Did the research, listened, read reviews and I am impressed
