OK I need to purchase a good Mic but for a reasonable price

I am looking to spend around 200 bucks

Can anyone help me?

i recentaly purchased a nady condenser mic for 80 bucks (kinda harsh sounding) and a studio projects c-1 for 230 bucks (sounds real good...worth the price difference and then some) a sure 57 is real good...and a sure 58 is good too (could get both of them for around 200 bucks for the pair)

Can you be a little more specific? What kind of pre-amp will you be connecting the mic to? Are you looking for a studio or live mic?

If you're looking for a studio vocal mic., I recommend the Studio Projects C1. You won't get any better for $200

I think enough people have posted that!

C1 is great, but costs a little more than $200.

You can run over to your local Guitar Center and get an Octava MC319 for around $150. Although it is not a "great" mic, it is worth the money. I have used them for close micing amps, vocals, overheads, etc. and the recordings sound good.

I have 2 of them that I bought when I didn't have money to spend and I still use them today.

I also have a pair of C3s and a C1 which I prefer.

Thank you to all for replying

But to the ones that have a little attitude in there replys. I think you might need a little more people skills. :)

Thanks to everyone else that gave me some suggestions

And yes this is for a studio :)

Well, maybe for some people :D

I recomend the C1. It's a great mic and you'll be glad you bought it! I know I am.

Happy purchasing!
