I already know there is distortion on the lead vocal and some rough chord changes...it's a live improv jam...I'd like any feedback you can provide on the mix.

I tried to listen to your song lofi but it wouldn't work. It brought up my mmjb but wouldn't play anything or give a song title. I will check back later and see if it works. :)

Surely, you will want more knowlegable and insightful comments than I can lend but, for a live mix, you've a great start. If is improv/imprompt then, you are capturing the thing solidly enough to work off of. Nice vox, grove and I dig those keys!
Theron.

Thanks Theron.

Sammander,
Artistlaunch has been having some problems...they move the whole operation to a new ISP today so from tonight on there shouldn't be any more problems. I just checked the lofi stream and it worked fine so I think your problem earlier was just temporary. Thanks for trying to check it out:)

Hello Steve, welcome to homerec (LI Slim = Larry Kolker).

The mix seemed pretty good. I am listening through crappy multimedia speakers, which usually limits the bottom. The bass was very round and full, so it might be too much through good speakers, and a little boxy. The vocal had a nice quality also but maybe too far back. The tracks seemed a little uneven volumewise; perhaps a little compression would help that.

Oh, it's kinda long;)

I finally succeeded in listening to your song:). I really like it. It just needs to have everything brought up . It just kinda sounds like a room recording/ live. :D Which is exactly what you said it was. I loved the funk. And the vocalist has a very nice voice. glad to hear ya:)
