O.K., so I tried the Edirol VSC Dxi drum sets. They don't sound too good. :( (They're no better than the standard GM Drum sounds.)

Does anybody know if any of the other DXi's that came with Sonar have a decent sounding drum set??

fxpansion DR-008 DXi2 !!!!

Or you can load Blue Jay Drums collection soundfonts with LiveSynth Pro DXi...

Make sure you installed them first. It's all in your installation CD.

Nope... :( no like to pay for mo gizometry....likes freebees... :D

Well, you can also take that freebie blue jay drums kit that comes with Sonar and download the Awave Studio demo from awave.com to convert the soundfont into a dr008 kit, or even wave samples to use in whatever you want, so you don't have to upgrade the livesynth after it expired.

Another thread discussed that, and it was a success...but for a different reason, mainly because they liked the dr008 and blue jay but dr008 couldn't read the sf2 format. In your case it would be I'm guessing because you don't want to pay for the unlimited memory version of Livesynth Pro.
