This is a song I just finished up. It's at
http://www.mp3.com/brokenwindow

The song is called Nicotine. Personally I think the song is great, but could of been mixed a little better. Tell me what ya think...thanks

Great sound....I have no idea what you were using or how the thing was recorded, though, because your info page is impossible for me to read...it looks cool, but you're cheating yerself by not communicating yer info....I imagine you would like for folks to know more about you and yer music, but it ain't happening with the graphics....tune stands really well on its own though, I liked it a lot....gibs

Yeah...It's a lil' hard to read right now. I'm in the process of re-doing it, so hopefully it'll be better. The entire song was recorded using Cool Edit Pro. Everything is ran through a POD, with the exception of the drums, which are loops using Sonic Foundry's Acid Pro. Guitar is a Fender Jimmy Vaughn model and the bass is an Ibanez soundgear.

Thanks for the reply.

Yep, it's a good driving song.... If your name happens to be MAD MAX! ;)
Seriously, though... that would be great background music for car-racing video clips on ESPN. You should send it to Taxi after you get done tweaking it to your liking.

LOL! I didn't mean driving as in driving in a car. I meant driving as in a driving melody....um..or something. Do you think the lead guitar in the end sits well in the mix? I wasn't sure, but a few ppl told me to leave it, so i did.

BTW..What is Taxi?

Thx for the reply.

Vrrrrroooooooom!!!!!!!

I knew what you meant, B/W.... but the tune really does give that "pedal to the metal" feel. I kept thinking of Highway Star by Deep Purple and Radar Love by Golden Earring.
It's been awhile since anybody's done a good "driving" song. Knowwhuttamean?

Thx for the link JC.

Those are good songs to get compared to. Thanks Buck..

chillin wit my bitch

Man, this is the best polka song i've ever heard. I love the tone you get with the accordian. great song but i cant rap anway?

Great transition starting @ 1:37 going to 1:44.
Drums seem in the right place in the mix.

That's a fun tune! I really dug it. It sounds great. The only problem I had was the lead could've used a boost a little in the mix. The end lead part was better, but could've used just a hair more. Other than that, I loved it. I agree totally with Doc about the transition...it really added a lot to the tune. Great job!

Mix sounded about right and the song was cool. Sounded good as an instramental, and also sounded like you can put vocals in it without too much changing if you wanted to. Good job.
