What do you guys think of this?

I wasnt realy looking for a guitar buy i did a worldwide search on eBay (there's not a huge range of left handed guitars on eBay in Australia) and found this. After thinking about if for a few hours I decided I couldnt let it ogt. What do you guys thing, bargain?
I've seen a few right handed Customs of similar vintage going for around the $3000-4000 mark, do you think that would be a reasonable price to ask for it (not that I plan on selling it)
My only concern is the pickups. From what i can gather they realy only seem to suit metal or hard rock. My style is alternate rock but not realy heavy (and not always distorted). How do you think these pickups will work with that sound. If they need replaceing then so be it but I hope they dont sound too bad so i can get away without spending more money for a while (because i realy didnt have money set aside for the guitar).
Also, having never actualy played a real Les Paul (god i hate being left handed) how well do they work for rhythm guitar. I know they're more commonly used for lead but will i be happy with it for rhyth?
In the end i might get a tele for the lighted clean stuff and use the LP for the heavy power chord stuff. Good plan?
Cheers adn thanks for any feedback you can give
