cool tune, nice big sound to this..

I think the drums are a bit too loud imhop.. they sound good but they sound too loud... up with the guitars and bass... and even the vocals in some spots.. On second listen, I think the music should definitely come up or maybe just the snare is too loud.. not sure.. It sounds really good for the most part.. Nice full uncompressed recording that has some breathing room aaaahhhhhhh.. It's got a big warm sound that is not in the least bit harsh..

bottle cap?

Is this tape?

wow excellent song! I can't really think of anything to criticize, every instrument is audible-the playing is good the vocals sound great. I just wanted to be the first to say I heard the bottle cap drop! hehe.Very good!

great song emeric, nice headphone trip with the phaser effect's(guessing that's what it is) and the echo's on the finger noise , very nice touch(again im guessing) fantabulous!!

im going to listen to your other stuff now, and for that bottle cap they are talking about.

I thought that your recording and mixing was already up there, and you just seem to be improving it everytime.

GREAT sounding mix. Great job.

This is a nice rich recording indeed. I agree with Sami on the snare- and I think it is just the snare- that could come down a notch or two. The acoustic gits sound well mic'd. The vocal sits very well. And the song itself has some great movement to it, in terms of dynamics and tonal flow. Cool vibe. Great job!

Oh and I didn't hear the bottle cap, but apparently I have a phone ringing in one of mine that I still can't seem to find!

Mmmm... very nice. Almost a Ziggy stardust meets Smashing Pumpkins vibe. Acoustic sounds nice, but could be a *smidge* warmer sounding. I do like the crack on the snare. Yup, bottlecap (about 1:44)... love the changes and the choices on bass, which sounds nice & round. Rhythm is just a bit "lilting" -- happens when it's a one man type thing. (I'm just sayin' that the rhythms on each instrument are very similar).

Absolutely love the fills on the drums. Very funky. Reverb tails on that "lead" guitar seem to get a bit cloudy (the simple, fingerpicked one-note-at-a-time guitar). Some cool phasing at the end -- almost sounds like some light auto-wah.

Really all that's needed are some EQ tweaks; most everything fits -- if you're doing surgical EQ, you're about 90% there (IMNSHO) some of the cuts could use a smidge wider Q, but that's just an idea.

Very nice tune! I'll play this more than once :D Almost feel like a thief having this on the hard drive ;);)

Keep 'em coming!

Good Lord, you just ripped right through that tune.("The Question")This reminded me a little of the Dixie Dregs or some of Steve Morse's solo stuff.Killer playing and an excellent mix! There are albums in stores right now with this type of music on it that are not mixed half as good as this is.This is top notch stuff man. What did you record this on?

Excellent!

I'll listen to the song you wanted people to listen to now.:D(Gone)

"Gone"

Vocals seem to be spot on and mixed perfectly.I like the drum sound actually. It's nice and tight and in the pocket.(I love a snare that pops).

Acoustic guitar work is great and the bass guitar is laying in the mix just right.

No complaints. This is just too good man.;)

Nice song Emeric...(gone)..... I agree about the snare, and Im not sure if i like the main acoustic g. so far to one side. Thats in headphones though......Im sure its fine out in the open. Nice smooth mix. I like the vocs too....... .......now this song would be cool post drunken stupor! great stuff emeric g

Sweet recording and mix. I loved the acoustic git sound. Very real and full. Track dynamics give the song an authenticity that makes you look for the band behind the monitors:).

Wow,
Very solid stuff.

Theron.

top notch, down to the left handed, panned drums. Killer kick.

nothing much else to say...just great. I'm "wow'd"

I listened to 2 songs. Question and Gone.

Question--reminds me of Brent Mason meets the Hellecasters! Is that you wiggling your fingers on that? If so, you are a very accomplished player. Of course, I hate you for it! :D Seriously, I love that style of playing. I know how hard it is to pull off cleanly. You succeeded.

Gone--This one had some shades of John Lennon in it for me. Not total Beatles, but some things echoed their style. Good solid mix. As I listened, everything seemed to be in its proper place, right levels, etc.

The stream I heard seemed a bit lacking in overall fidelity--like a Real Player sort of sound. I have a feeling I didn't hear either tune in full glory. Anybody hear that? Or is it just my connection tonight?

I did like the tunes and thought they were played and mixed pretty damn well. Good work!

Wow! As in wow! I enjoyed this song (gone) and I also felt a Lennon vibe in this which makes me an instant fan. The mix is good enough that I don't really have anything to say. At some point it gets to where such things become creative decisions. You've done good work here man. Two thumbs up!

That was just great, I love the drum sound and agree that this is a rich recording. good stuff

Roth

Just as I suspected. Killer. And I DID hear the bottle cap hit the floor around 1:42. Open me another Guiness.:D

Track Rat: Thanks TR. Wish it was guiness, just cheapo Canadian beer - Kokanee.

Roth: Thanks for the listen.

Lt. Bob: Lennon is hard to avoid. Appreciate the listen, the endless project may get finished after all.

crawdad: Yeah thats my fingers before the lawnmower incident. J/K. As far as Gone, it may sound lo-fi, all a matter of reference. Thanks for checking both out!

mixmkr: Thanks Mixmkr!

theron: "Track dynamics give the song an authenticity that makes you look for the band behind the monitors."

You got some great quotable quotes theron!

Guernica: Thanks for the feedback/Listen!

Kramer: I spent a lot of time trying to play various songs of of 'The Introduction'. It was recorded on a computer. Delta 1010. Glad you liked the tunes.

participant: "Almost feel like a thief having this on the hard drive "

Indeed you should. Feel free to send me all your money. :)

Thanks for listening!

SLuiCe: Snare may be too loud, I'll look into it. What bottle cap?

Guernica: No, we are a non-working band. A virtual band created and inspired by the technology of multitrack. Sure I'll play at your party, would have to put a band together though.

CyanJaguar: Thanks CJ.

fenderlikingood: The echo's on the squeaks at the end were accidental. I was going to delete that track, but left it for the moment.

B.SABBATH: Is this B.SABBATH or Samicide? :)

The drums may be too loud, I tend to do that. Vocals are down in spots, the hazards of punch-ins. Digital recording. No tape although I wish I had one somedays.

Thanks, listening to it, all.

Just listened to Gone. Great to hear a real drum kit...it is real isn't it? You definitely have a lenon quality in your singing. I really enjoyed listening to this. Mix is excellent.

Only things that jumped out at me are the acoustic hard panned on headphones is a little too hard, and I'd get rid of the squeaks on the guitar. It's nice to hear every once in a while but it's a little too often on this imo. Really had to listen to pick those things out though. Great song.

On Gone...

I too was reminded of Lennon's voice.

A well recorded and mixed song. I particularly liked the drums - thougt at times they seemed to dominate the mix just a bit. Nice bass tone in the intro.

Perhaps the backing vocals at 1:03 were a bit high in the mix.

But other than that, a real solid job.

On Question...

Real nice playing. I really liked the song too. It was a perfect instrumental (my definition). It had enough different things going on so it didn't get boring. And it wasn't too long - get in, do your thing, get out. Leave no mess. I liked the "dropped of a table" ending.

Nice.
