Slowing becoming un-noob.
So I'm going to make a DIY SCXD footswitch. I have the schematic, but it's not making much sense to me.
Here's the schematic.
I think the schematic has a symbol that isn't correct.
The Triangle with the line at the tip (there are 4 of them on the left side of the schematic).
As I understand, that symbol is for Telephone jack. But there is a symbol with an outline of the triangle with a line at the tip that has a circle around it, and that means Diode. Which I have no idea what it is, but I'm new to this stuff.

But anyways.

Can anyone tell me what all the symbols Actually mean. I've searched through google and have been unable to find what I need. Then again, I suck at searching.

Thanks.

Yeah there are plenty of sites on line that could help you out (I'd suggest searching "basic electronics" or something to that effect), or you could I'm sure find a book or two at your local used book store for a few bucks (or the library for free).

reccomendation

If I may, I'd like to recommend "Electronic Components - A complete reference for project builders" by Delton T. Horn

just search it at amazon, I found this book to be VERY useful.
