When I'm listening to my keyboard track w/headphones, recording a drum track along with it, I need to turn the keyboard volume up to where I can clearly hear it. When doing so, the volume of the drums I'm currently recording also increases signifigantly.

Is there a way I can turn up the volume of the existing track in the computer without turning the volume of the new track I'm recording up?

I'm using NTrack and an Audiophile 2496 soundcard. I'm sure it's a simple fix I've overlooked... Any advise? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Is it a hardware synth and real drums? More info needed. What is your setup?

I think your question was just recently answered in the n-track forum. You create a new track, arm it for recording, and adjust the volume slider to taste.

Slackmaster 2000

Thanks...

Tex, it's a real drum set.

Slackmaster, I usually just press record to create and record a new track. So I would create a track before I record it?

Thanks...
