I see deaf people
A synth pop number definitely set in a certain era..tried to keep true with my synth and drum choices (and even guitar! lol). Industrial Okie added his own sterling vocals, and wrote the lyrics and melody. Enjoyed making this one and hope to do some more with the industrial fella from the worlds electro music capital :D

God Send a Plague

It's like sobriety it's hard to control you never know when the urge will leave you
Create mythology with your very words you take a drop of the poison to lead you

God send a plague
God send a plague to the world

I've seen your face before my friend and I know just how this story ends
Careening in the dark bottle in hand damaged chemistry to guide the pen

God send a plague
God send a plague to the world

Faulty programming

It's like betrayal disease of the blood and society can't contain you
Create monopoly pandemic is born the slightest drop of upheaval

God send a plague
God send a plague to the world

Why won't you let me be?

All comments and listens totly appreciated, its not as bass driven as you'd prolly expect but I think its about right for the type of synth-pop it is, maybe too much kick? vocals a little too quiet?...seems to translate pretty well. I had to use quite a bit of de-essing, I dont think it effects the vocals too much but I have listened to this much of the weekend

thanks :)

Not really what I listen to, but sounds good to me. Mix sounds good. Like I said....I really can't critque because I'm not familiar with this genre. But I at least wanted to give you some feed back.

Hey thanks for listening anyway man...kinda diificult to critique synths anyway as we just say we meant it :D

you shall remain plague free

Great! A collab between 2 guys whose contributions I totally respect.
Real nice song and Okies voice is super-duper!:) You guys fit together like....like....erm.....Batman and Robin?:o:D No seriously, you guys should make a whole album, not just 1 song, you totally compliment each other.;)
I can't find anything to criticise here, it's a damn good song and I hope you do more.:)

Very nice! Sounds like a good comeback song for David Bowie - great vocals!

Thanks Joe!

It was inevitable we'd do a song together lol...Id do more but Okie is just so difficult to work with...like a diva!

:laughings:

No seriously Id love to do more...Im sure we'll get another together at some point in the near future..an album? they still make them? ;)

Thanks Bob....Im afraid there's no comeback for Bowie unless God did send a plague :D

besides we dont need him...give RayC's "Master" a listen to and you'll see what I mean :)

welcome to the site btw :drunk:

Hahaha nice 80's pop hit. I think you can bring the drums up a little. Nice synth stuff. Cool

cheers squibbally :)

I just turned the drums down a notch before I posted this...i kinda like their levels now...but you could turn the up a bit or down a bit and not really make that much difference...hell Ive changed one of the chorus synths volume three times since I posted this thread :D

We already have a plague. Thankfully they stay down in the cave.

This is pretty good. I think I get the pop sound you're going for, but it still feels a little light in the buttocks to me. I think more power in the down lows would give this more energy and angst. I'm not crazy about the vocals, but they fit the style. Good work. Yall are like the SubHuman League. :D

:laughings: cheers bro...I think youve just given me a song title...and man hasnt that plague died out there yet?

I still pop in announced to neg every now in then...its a cesspit of human existence ;)

Thought you might think it was light on the bottom...dunno ive Ill bump it up there yet...gonna listen to it in the car, its the only decent stereo I own

Wow- the vocals in this song are truly epic and amazing! Why has this genius paired with such a neanderthal of a keyboard player? Oh well.

:D

told ya...bloody diva ;)

well done mate...this was heading for page two already :D

Dang it! All I have access to right now is laptop speakers!

I like both of your guys' stuff, so I'll get back to this one when I get a chance after Thanksgiving.

Cheers Steve....I mixed it on laptop speakers so you should be good to go, lol :D

Really? Like, the cheap, built-in ones? 'cause that sounds like it wouldn't end well!

Great stuff guys!!!
I got a laugh out loud from my youngest daughter who said *Is that the Cure?* who came in while I was listening to it.
The one thing I can suggest is maybe a big chorus of female backing vocals in the background.

yeah we'll tell the females we have to sing up :D

cheers Henry ya radge :)
