Global Phanton switch on mixer.

I'm looking a mixers at the mo and see that they supply phantom power via a global switch. I'm going to be using both condencers and dynamics - just wondering what happens when phantom is on(for a condencer) and i plug a dynamic into another channel - will it work?

In a word - yes.
You won't damage anything. You might want to turn off the phantom power while you plug the mic in just to be safe. I don't think it's an issue with XLR connectors, but it might be with 1/4" TRS types. You can do a search on the bbs for dynamic mics and phantom power - the issue has been covered many times before.

The dynamic should work fine. I recall reading that dynamics are not (or at least SHOULD not) be affected by phantom power.
