I get glitches after a while useing cakewalk with my
aardvark Q-10. I'm running a P4 on a elpaso 82845 chip set motherboard, 1500 ghz, 256 ram, win xp. I followed every piece of advice in the book cakewalk power, by scott garrigus and lowered my video settings, etc, recording in 16 bit, 44100, am stretching nothing unreasonably, but still get glitches in play back and sometimes in recording.
The big question. Could it be my motherboard chip set. One guy said the 82845 chip set is unstable, needs to go to 82850 chip set. anyone have any input, would be helpful. tanx alot mon

I assume you are running beta Aardvark drivers right? Seems like driver stability would be questionable.

Scrutinize all of your startup programs and loaded DLL's and services. The fewer items running, the easier it will be to tell the culprit. I wouldn't rule out the drivers, but there are also other reasons.
