Im looking for a 'Glee' Type Choir Sound to run on logic pro 9 on my Mac, cant seem to find one but can find lots of african vocal effects etc :/ ... my uncles keyboard (Kurzweil sp2x (i think))

Has a similar sound to what i want, but its not closer to helping me find one to download.

Anyone know of one?

Thanks

Logic has some decent choir samples. Open a new software instrument track and look in the Choir folder. One of those patches should probably fit your needs.

That's a pretty specific choir sound in that clip. That's not a bad thing, but if that's your desired end result my best advice for you is to record the choir samples yourself. It can be done either with a full choir or with you doing each track one at a time. Other than that, I'm not sure where you'd find a choir sound like that... maybe some paid sample packs could have something close.

Doesn't have to be that specific but something similar with do's and ah's I've heard quite a few samples on keyboards but can't seem to find any to import into logic :/

Any websites you could recommend? I've tried a few but most website seem to be synth sounds ..

Well if you like the sounds on your keyboard, couldn't you sample the sounds off your keyboard and create an EXS-24 instument in Logic for them? I'll look for some sample packs that might have the sounds you're looking for.

if im honest, i have no idea how to do that :/ im still quite new.. is an option though! i know what you mean just not how to do it but sure i could find a guide somewhere :) ah thanks.. im still looking but if im honest im not finding a lot, im searching for choir virtual instruments on google. found a few vst files, but they dont work with logic do they? or am i misinterpreting stuff..

Haha cool, I see. Yeah VST dosn't work with Logic. I could help you out with sampling the keyboard and making a Logic instrument out of it though.

i may have to take u up on that and id be very grateful! uncle is on holiday for 2 weeks and i need his keyboard to do it, so ill read up on it then if i get stuck send u a pm if its ok? thanks for your help mate :)

Also since vst dont work, what extension am i looking for? a lot of posts i seem to be finding are all from about 2008... everyone wants to make dance music now ha

Awesome, I'd be glad you help you. Just PM me whenever and I'll hit you back ;)

AU (audio units) is the plugin format you want with Logic.
