Glad I bought the V-AMP and not the POD.

"Heck, at your age, he hadn't even had ME yet. I'm 23."

Assuming he actually was the one giving birth at 52 out of an unamed orfice, that would be tough.

I was talking about raising a kid as a senior citizen, you genius.

Well gee, me and my old buds still lift some pretty hefty weights at the gym and play basketball a couple of times per week too. But I'd be lying if I said there wasn't plenty of Ben-Gay to go around.

Guess what fellas? The Mars in St. Louis is open a few hours on Sunday. I went down today and tested one of these Behringer V-Amps. Took it home to. Is it that good? I'll put up a couple of samples later tonight and you can tell me. I was simply knocked out.

BTW, I never heard one of the old models but the guy that sold it to me mentioned how much he thought the sound was improved over last years. So if you haven't heard the newer V_Amp "2", don't base your assumptions on the old model. Or at least that's the word I got on it.

In My day we had to walk 10 miles to take our wax discs to Edison himself to get them mastered. then we would work 24 hours a day in the coal mines and If we were lucky we'd all die by sundown. And we were thankful.

Ooops pooped my pants.

You had coal mines? And Pants? You whippersnapper. Back when I started we only had two notes. B and C# and in the winter you couldn't get the C# started. I remember one year I wrote a song and had to wait 'till spring to thaw it out and hear what I'd done. You kids today have it easy with your 12 keys and your chromatic scale. I...uh...ummm... nurse?........nurse?..........someone?....anyone?

There's truely nothing as satisfying as a game of one-ups-men-ship. I could probably compete with you guys but I wouldn't want nobody to start balling or nothing coz of my poor upbringing.

Yeah, I know, Darren had to sleep 6 to a bed with his brothers and sisters, to which I can only say, "You had a bed?!!!"

And then Bob would start in with how his dad beat him good everyday, to which I would kindly reply, "You had a dad?!!!" See, you're crying already aren't ya?

Got a few samples of my V-Amp up now. Just backtrack to the forum this thread's in and look for my new post about it.

Hey Charger, that's an Ebow I hear on Mechanist isn't it? I thought I was about the only one here who uses one.
Yeah. I lost my ebow, that was the last thing I played with it. Thanks for the compliments!

V-amp rules!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having recently purchased a Behringer V-amp2 I am more than satisfied with this new thing. I couldn't believe how much I got for the price! Gig bag, footswitch, wow!

This is NOT a noisy machine. Far from it. And having heard the Pod & J-station I can honestly say that this is the best of 'em. Why? The price. Anyone spending money on the Pod is missing the point. I almost bought the POD thinking that Behringer gear couldn't possibly be as good as the almighty RED ONE (worshipped by many on this forum), but I'm glad that sanity prevailed and I bought the Behringer.

I'm not usually a fan of Behringer gear (if you've used one of their mixers you'll know why) and I am wary of buying cheap stuff, but this V-amp is an unbelievable exception.

I'm just glad that I used my ears on this one.

Yeah. I just sit down, plug in my V-amp and flick on the power switch...Lets see, hmmm. Must be right over... Shit!

:p

alright, I said I would post a track when I had one done with the v-amp. It is in the mp3 clinic and the song title is "Shangri-La".. look for it there..

Three old farts are sitting and chatting.

Old Fart #1 says: "Boy I'm old. I'm 70, and whenever I try to 'p', it seems to take forever to come out."

Old Fart #2 says: "You think that's bad? I'm 80, and whenever I try to poop, I push and push and it seems to take forever to come out."

Old Fart #3 says: "You think that's bad? I'm 90, and I 'p' regularly at 6:00 in the morning and poop regularly at 6:30 in the morning."

Old Fart #1 asks: "What's so bad about that?"

Old Fart #3 responds: "I wake up at 7:00."

Not trying to judge you BBB but that's just my experience that you're critical about everything.

Why do people keep resuscitating me? Can't I just die in peace?

I bought two Behringer V-AMP 2 Preamps two weeks ago. One for me and one for my sidekick, Jeff. I also bought a Behringer EuroRack MX2004A Mixer and a 3 pack of Behringer XM8500 Mics and I love all this Behringer gear.

My V-AMP 2 is simply Awesome! I learn more each day what this thing can do and what it's capable of and it's simply amazing for the price. I have already recorded one CyberJam with the V-AMP 2 one week after I recieved it. (CMF Jam/Hogleg Blues, a power blues instrumental which we did over at the Christian Musician Forum.) I did the lead track and since it was just a jam, I left the Noise Gate off to give more of a "Live" feel. Link below. Our band is setting up our small recording setup in a small room at the church to finish up our demo CD and I intend use use it and my other INEXPENSIVE Geetar Processor (ZOOM 505II) on the recordings exclusively. I have used the ZOOM 505II already on two Solo Home Recordings using my lil Tascam 414 MKII. (Stormy Monday and Amazing Grace at the same link.)

Personally, I like getting great bang for my bux and at 48, I almost qualify for "Geezer" stautus. Brands like Behringer and ZOOM give me that.

I just got into recording a couple of months ago, so give that consideration.
