Gigastudio32 2.54 & WindowsXP SP2???

I like to use a touch of Gigastudio32 for certain tracks and it worked fine in WindowsXP SP1. I've since updated to WindowsXP SP2 and now Gigastudio32 won't open. I come up the error 218. Has anyone else run into problems running any Gig ver 2.5 and Windows SP2?

It seems Tascam is no longer supporting 2.5 anymore (their support is lousy anyway). I have a feeling this can't be fixed with anything other than an upgrade to Gigastudio 3. Does anyone have a fix for the error 218? Does anyone have Gigastudio 3 running successfully on WindowsXP SP2?

I tried multiple times to open it an nada. I uninstalled and reloaded and still more of the same. Then magically...after a number of attempts...for some reason...it booted! Just being persistant and not taken no for answer did the trick...and it gave up the bootay.
