first off I hope I put this in the right forum-
I have a q6600 based system with an RME HDSP9632 soundcard. currently I am running it with a MIDI in and analog outs (1,2) only.
here's the problem I'm having with gigastudio 3. i am new to the program but am starting to catch on.
I am running in standalone mode. I have a problem with the midi mixer and getting sound from instruments in slots 2-16.
When I load instruments into multiple slots in the midi mixer, only the intsrument in slot 1 can be heard through the 9632. i am using both my midi controller (adjusting channel numbers for each slot) and the virtual keyboard. the midi meter shows that there IS midi input on slots 2, 3, 4, etc. but there is no sound. i have tried using the exact same instrument on multiple slots and still can only get sound out of the first slot.
when i move to G3Port 2, i insert the same instruments again, and I can hear the instrument that is in slot 1 here, using either my midi controller or the virtual keyboard. i cannot hear slots 2, 3, 4, etc, even though the midi meter shows that there is midi input for these slots. there is no sound.
i should again note i am using the analog output of the card (for now). i thought this might be the cause of the problem, but i have tried changing the mixer inputs in midi mixer, i have verified that the output on all channels in the dsp mixer are set to analog 1,2 (left, right), and i am totally perplexed.
thanks for your help everyone
