this is somethign i recorded my friend doing in the front room of my apartment. i think the guitar sounds better towards the end, he turned back towards the original setting of the mic.

gianluca?

I love this song.

I can just hear andrea bocelli on this piece, driving it to no. 1 on the world charts.

With production, this song will be OFF THE HOOK.
By the way, I liked the balance you had, and the generaly sound you got. Clear without being harsh, and warm without being muddy.

Was that your room or an affect. Like chorus or reverb?

ANyhow, I suggest you coerce your pal into making this a real production. Add a light pad, introduce a soft snare, maybe a kick, some bass and this song will fly.

get bocelli's romanza and hear what I am talking about. By the wa, this song is as good as many of the songs on that cd.

I wouldn't change a thing... It's weird, because the whole thing gives the impression of being crappy.. Wait... :D

Ok... I mean that in the best way possible. The guitar sounds cheap, the singer has a "unique" voice... BUT... It all works perfectly. I love the music and the feel of it. I could totally see this playing during a weird scene in a weird movie, and I wouldn't change a thing. If it gets more produced, it won't be the same.

Did I mention... I wouldn't change a thing. :)

Gianluca is my friend, its not the song title. Sound wise i thought it sucked as well. We werent working in very good situation, loud room, like 7 of us goofing around in there, we had a big long recorded goof/jam session. It was quick, i didnt try to set it up well, it was for fun, but it worked. i thought it came out well as a song.

I'd try a nylon, just to see...

COOL SONG! Has some Robert Earl Keen, Jr., in there somewhere (the transitions, i think, not the big one, though)...
