This is my new favorite thread!
Everytime I mix, I hear something telling me I suck. I reach for the fader and bring it down....better. I turn the fader back up and it gets worse every time.
It's not a voice so much as a creepy vibe though. Its definately not a phone ringing effect...and that would not fool me because I know DAMN well no one is calling my lame ass.
