Getting white/pink noise from Layla20....

...I just scored an Event Layla 20 bit system for 120 beans.

In setting it up I installed the drivers and stuff.

Upon re-boot, I started getting white noise coming through the monitors as soon as Windows loaded.

I can hear sounds through the noise (i.e. Acid loops etc.) but its constant.

I have Windows sound disabled, the virtual mixer is all muted except for 9/10 out to monitor (even if i mute these there is still the noise) and I de-installed my Audiowerk beforehand.

Any ideas.........???

BTW.....the manual is the only thing it didn't come with.

Someone must have some inkling as to what it might be.

O.k...so the EchoAudio site says.....

....that Layla may not work with AMD k6-2 processors.

But it says this in reference to computer lock up problems.

My system runs fine it just has this constant static sound comming out of the Layla card.

Is this also a potential complication?????

I'm thinking this might be a good excuse to upgrade my processor and Mobo anyway.

Does anyone use any of theese interfaces.......I see the Event forum is really a singing forum so I dont want to post this there.
