For what its worth Squash in my opinion acted very responsibly. This forum is not only a place for people to learn but, apparently it is aplace for connections to be made. Interconnecting with others in the music business seems to be a veery important aspect of that business. If there is someone on this or any other forum that is even possibly not above board or, worst case scenario, running a scam, I think the rest of us have a right to know about it. Squash, and others, in all fairness, have noted that the whole thing could be the other way around and that Squash could be the one that is full of it.But seriously, does that sound like the logical conclusion. The story, as related by Squash, sounds credible. What benefit is there to him to bash Sjoko for absolutely no good reason. Why bash Sjoko if in fact he got what he was after. This was not a personal attack but a criticism of business practice. And, Squash has not said that he was unequivocally the victim of a scam. He has laid out the facts for others to be the judge of that. This is always the fair thing to do. As for legal recourse, there is little that can be done in such situations becuase of jurisdictional problems. If Sjoko is in Florida and Squash is in California, then which state would have jurisdiction. A Federal Court would have jurisdiction based on diversity of citizenship but only if the amount in controversy were over the jursidictional limit whcih $240.00 most assuredly is not. Alternatively, jursidiction could be based upon a Federal Question but here, I believe there is inadequate laws to protect consumers in these situations. So, the answer is Caveate Emptor..Buyer Beware. As a result, the posting by Squash is infinelty the proper thing to do since it is the only protection consumers have against such things. If this is not a scam by Sjoko, then it will eventually come out, the matter will be explained. If the guy has taken ill, we can then begin to understand, however, I do agree with the person that wrote that under such circumstances, Sjoko should have retunred the CD and the money with a note saying that he would be unable to fulfill his obligation. Having failed to do that and having failed to offer a truly compelling excuse for why the finished product did not arrive as promised more than once, Sjoko is the one that has opened himslef up for this and may, for all we know, deserve whatever pulbic censor he receives. As for the likes of Gidge, this appears to be a person who has much to say about many things he may not know much about. I only say this becuase he should not come to the aide of someone in this circumstance as he did wihout personal knowledge of the situation or of the parties involved. All he has done, in my opinion, is bring his onw credibility into question. I am sure that was not his intention but, I am not taking sides and thus not opening up my credibility here. I am merely pointing out that such public criticism is useful in an area in which legal remedies are inadequate. In the end, each of us will reap what we sow either here or in real life. I fully support each person right to recount any circumstance in which they have been mistreated by someone hlding themselves out as offering a service so that others can avoid becoming future victims or alternatively, so that the person or entity being accused can have a public forum in which to expalin him or her or itself and correct the problem.

I just saw that there were more pages to this post and I am, for one, more athan happy that the situation did not involve any wrongdoing. My point is that if someone does try to get over on unsuspecting people on the internet, they should be publicly ostrasized. I use the internet freqeutly to do business and particularly when it comes to hte purchase of music gear and services and though I have gotten used to doing it, I still give pause to the possiblity of scams. For some odd reason, I always expect the greatest integrity from musicians and engineers and mixers are included as musicians.
