Kick 'em while hes down?....nope...that was a very civil comment...no flames whatsoever....it was my opinion as to where his thinking might have been off.....hopefully, some of us learned something here.....

and i doubt mixmkr is red faced right now.....

see, you can try and make me into a bad guy here, but the fact of the matter is, i am not the one who doubted sjoko, questioned the ethics of his offer, flamed him, asked him for explainations about his practices, etc......all of that should have been between sjoko and the 2 people that didnt get their CD(if thats the right number)....

go back and read some of your posts in this thread and read mine....i displayed my confidence in him and gave him the benefit of the doubt, and didnt just go by a few blind claims...you and a few others did the trash talk.....

now im the bad guy cause i pointed out where some of it could have been avoided...ok.....

its times like these my faith in God comes in handy......

My apologies to Sjoko for posting comments which may have been skeptical of your commitment or questioned your business integrity.

You have proven that faith is not misplaced.

And for all of us, it seems that this story does have a happy ending and for that I'm glad. Although if you add up the lump sum of confusion, miscommunication, and distrust that arose from it in entirety, would all parties in hindsight say "it was worth it?" I'm thinking most will chalk it up to a fortunate mistep of major pitfalls but still a shaky, wisdom enhancing experience.

Would anyone really have been surprised by either result? I've heard of and experienced big fish eat little fish situations before in this industry and compound the likelihood by putting it in the context of faceless entities dealing on-line.

Anyway, there will be no parthian shots here. Good work sjoko.

I figured everything was gonna work out. Really, your health comes first, and if some illness took you offline, then glad to hear you're back in the swing of things. I absolutely understand.

I never jumped on your back, or anything. Whatever remarks I made on this thread, they were all open ended questions, and I, for one, never meant to appear that I was 'piling on'. If it seemed that way, then sorry, I apologize.

Also, glad to hear that you have a respectable career in the "real" music business, and you're right, you don't owe anything to the 'music hacks' you may find on this board, such as myself, or others. I certainly agree with that attitude.

Not only that, but thanx for reminding us that a 'professional' recording is much easier to master, than an 'amatuer' recording, and we should all take note of that.

The bad timing of the offer, then your suffering health was all just a lousy coincidence, and I really understand, the way tentative deadlines may slip, and offers to do 'favors' may be postponed, due to an all-too- legitimate reason: your health.

Not only that, but it's the 'squeaky wheel' that gets the grease, and this bbs may not hear much from the silent majority of satisfied Sjoko-clients. Hey, I understand.

You know, -no secret-, but some people on this board might be hyper-critical about things, so as you know, most of the chat here is not to be taken seriously.

In my previous posts, I wanted to ask a few questions, re: this situation, but overall, I figured the delays were legitimate, and the projects would eventually be finished and back to their owners. That has happened.

Even though I wasn't one of the critical members, I understand that 'things' happen, and all's well that ends well, so sorry for butting in.

With all the dropping-dead, and dying that's going on lately, Sjoko, just take care of yourself, ok?

Yesterday I received my mastered CD from Sjoko. I appreciate his giving us home rec'rs this opportunity. Unfortunately, because of communication breakdown, it took on a life of its own. Hopefully, now this thread will die and fadeaway. Best of health to you Sjoko.

How could this be considered a favor between friends?

If a hooker offers you a b***job for half price because she thinks that you are cute, is that not a business deal? The truth of the matter is that they didn't know each other, I'm not sure if 's' had heard the music before. I'm sure 's' is on the up and up but say he had received something from brtiney spears, or nsync I'll bet he would haved kept them updated on how things were going. When he sent it, he would have mailed it express with tracking numbers because he would have had respect for them. Just like having your car in the shop, if they say it'll be ready by monday, then when things change, they should give you an update. When he took the money he was bound under contract. In court that "I mailed long ago" approach would not work. I may not be a master engineer but I do know business law.

If you buy a coach ticket on the best airline, you will not be pampered by the flight attendants. You want first class treatment, or even business class treatment, pay the going rate.

Stop being a Sjoko groupie for once. In spite of stating few credentials or even his identity, he made an offer in this forum which I think is open to most anyone including newbies with 1 post and the "pros" with thousands. Some people, in spite of not knowing very much about the person sent him money in exchange for a service. If someone is running a scam I think it's very much "our busniness." He admitted it was a mistake. He will probably never do it again.

Now this thread can be closed.

What parts will $240.00 be the price of? What labor could $240.00 be the price of? The truth of the matter is that some people pay sticker price for everything others look for deals. If a mechanic offers to fix your car for just parts it still would be considered a business transaction. If he offered to change your oil for the price of parts and forgets to put the oil in is he not liable? Plus it's amazing how a friend would not call another friend to say that the work was not finished.
