Hey I'm completely new to the digital world of drum sampling and I can't seem to find any help anywhere, at least in terms that I can understand. I just want to know what's involved in getting started on using samples to create my own songs with a program like Drum kit from hell. I know a lot of people use it, also that they use programs like Sonar - but I just want to know what exactly you need, and how to go about doing it. Thanks!

I know it is a "drum topic" but you would probably get more suggestions from some guitar players. :p I don't have as much experience with drum machines as most people here but when I do use them in programs like sonar I program the drums in another program (guitar pro) because thats how I store my sheet music so I just write the music in guitar pro and export it as a midi file then I import it into sonar and run a VSTI. I can't use drum kit from hell though because my computer sucks :p Thats what I do anyways and it works for me. I hope this helps.

I think Drum kit from hell is an expansion pack for ezdrummer...i think you need to get ezdrummer first which is a cool program by itself and then you can add more expansion packs such as drum kit from hell.

i dont own ezdrummer however Im looking into getting it.

If you already knew what I posted above just ignore.

Also you should try addictve drums...they have a free demo download...demo comes with snare bass drum and cymbal however I dont think there is a limit to the time you can use it...its supposed to be a bit more real sounding that ezdrummer.

A lot of people are saying addictive drums sounds better than ezdrummer.
