Hey,
I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I am playing a Pearl Export Select snare. I can get this drum to sound exactly the way I want it to acoustically, but I cannot get the same sound when recorded through my Delta 1010. I am looking to get a little more snare response on the recording. I am micing the top with an sm-57. I was micing the bottom with a 57 also, but I could never get a sound that I liked. Now I have heard of microphone phase and was wondering if maybe reversing the phase of the underside mic might do the trick. If so, could you explain how to make a reversed mic cable. Here is a sample of my current snare sound... Thanks
