Its been two months since I ordered the Alesis firewire 16 from zzounds, And Im getting sick and tired of being lied to by everyone. Either Alesis lies about when theyre gonna ship these things or the stores (musicians friend and zzounds) are lying about when they will have them. Look, if its gonna be next year DONT FREAKIN LIE TO ME..........TELL ME ITS GONNA BE NEXT YEAR. Hey - I'm still waiting for the Director - the remote for the HD24 - that Alesis said was going to be released in 2003!

Alesis has a very poor track record of release notices/dates and actual product delivery...

man, i'm really sorry to hear that ... i was about to jump on them when the FireWire 8 only cost $250, but a few repairs to the truck made me push it back a month, and of couse, the price jumped to $400 ... i'm kinda loosing faith in these too ... you might want to look into the Phonic Helix ... same kinda board - and phonic says that they'll be "the first on the market" - very well might all be hype but i though i'd pass it along ...
