getting all your audio in one place

i'm a newbie to pro tolls so i'm still finding my way around the software. i've just recorded my bands new demo and am really happy with the results.

so now i'm trying to find out how i can save the project to a new file and export all the necessary regions.

can i do this in pro tools 8 le?

the reason i'm asking this is that for some reason it seems that some of the audio files used in the session are saved on an external hard drive whilst the rest are saved on the computers drive.

i can tell this, cos when i've opened the session without the external drive connected, some of the regions are empty.

i've been able to do this in cubase where i can select 'save session to new folder' and it exports all the used audio files but leaves all the unused ones.

so can anyone tell me if i can do this in pro tools 8 le.

thanks

you can do a Save Session Copy In and select "Include All Audio Files".
This will make a copy of your session and copy the included files.

check your session file allocation...and make sure that whenever you import audio into a session that you COPY the files on import.
