Getting 2 mono tracks from Echo indigo in Nuendo

Is there an easier way than recording stereo, mixing down to .wav stereo split
then import left and right channels? Also, does this degrade the quality?

yes there is...setup your inputs in nuendo to two mono bus's instead of one stereo buss...then you will be able to select one of the 2 mono inputs in your tracks!
