gettin started

just got cubase vst32 v5.0 i cannot get the IN to light up on the timebar thingy! hence i cannot record any thing from the keyboard i am using - can anyone help me with a quick idiots guide to putting a midi track down! - i know it must be simple but i cannot fathom it out and the kids i teach want to start down this line!

Can you give more info on your system? What is your keyboard plugged into?

If it's not recieving any MIDI input then there is a problem with how you have it hooked up.
