I use a little delay and verb on the first track. I always at least double the part. Everything besides the best take is dry and lower in the mix.

Except for perhaps some verb (depending upon the mix), nothing. Vocals are an acoustic instrument.

Almost always a SMALL touch of delay, and a small amount of reverb sometimes. For people like me, I usually like to double the parts though, that can give it some characters you may like.

Should the same FX be used on the entire mix...............
.......If the snare or A-Guitar needs some reverb should the same verb be used or a different type verb.

It's difficult to apply formulas or "should and shouldn't" to situations like this. I don't necessarily use the same type of verb throughout the tracks. It just depends on what the song is asking for.

As far as my "usual" chain, I tend to compress most vocals just a touch, and add a little verb. Sometimes I'll make slight EQ adjustments if necessary. Notice the words "slight", "little", and "just a touch". Don't over-process your vocals or they'll sound....well......over-processed.

Usually, I find the same reverb can be used the whole time as the reverb gives a false sense of the room, and changing that doesn't sound right to me. With delay, sometimes it's only needed in spots with the whole band playing, like a chorus maybe, to bring out the vocals a bit more. Same with a second vocal track, IMO.
