General Midi on the Roland XP-50 ......Please help!

I'm only getting Drums on 10 and Piano on every other channel......How do i get the sounds i want(other than piano) on the specific channels.

need step by step instructions.

It's normal for the General MIDI specification to have drums reserved for channel 10.
As to only getting piano on every other channel: look into how to change the patch
assignment on those channels.
