Hello,
Which monitors do you prefer for a home studio?
The ADAM P11 OR GENELEC 8040(same price aprox.)?

Are these monitors much better than my old(5-6 years) YAMAHA MSP-50
which i will use for second monitors?

Does it worth to spend for those 200 euros per unit more, instead of buying ADAM A7 or GENELEC 8030?

I will use them for mastering and mixing balland and rock balland music.....

depending on the setup of the room...since you allready have adequate nearfields you allready know...maybe a midfield set might be a better way to go...I see used JBL ones on craigslist often for $200-300.

Disreguard if you dont have the room for them...they tend to be larger.

Honestly; if you have to ask the question, the answer doesn't matter. Just get the one you think looks best and you'll be happy.

G,

thanks guys....maybe i will go to adam 7....not very huge bass but for a small room ,and for the price, its ok.....genelec in the same price(8030),have less rms watt power and much smaller woofer(5'' instead of adam's 6,5'')....

some people hate genelecs and others love them, some people hate adams and others love them. you have to go hear them. these are speakers that they usually have at any large guitar center, so this shouldn't be a problem. I would definitely spring for the larger cones.
