hello all
hope all is well

im looking for a nice gear bag to carry around the following items:

visualsound jekyll&hyde pedal
boss bluesdriver pedal
fender pt-100 tuner pedal
homemade pedal (shorter and fatter than the boss)

2 long 1/4 cables and the patch cables
2 microphone cables

1 sm58

i've researched the following:

all in all... these descriptions dont tell me if i can pack my 4 pedals separately, so as they touch nothing but the padding... keeping the paint from chipping all over.
so do the main compartments of these bags have that?
and do you think my gear will fit the smallest of these, which most likely is the musicians friends $30 one

thanks !

sounds interesting
but i'd rather get a more appropriate one, like that tweed one in the links... and then maybe mod it with some velcro

gotta have a snug fit

thanks for the suggestion though

I've mounted my pedals to a plywood board-painted it basic black-and attached them all with cable ties through holes in the board-cable ties hold the pedals much more in place than velcro and if you need to remove a pedal just snip the cable tie!

Attached is a 6 outlet utility strip with all of the wal-wart power adapters for the effects. All cords are attached to the individual pedals and all that needs plugged in are the input & output to the effects loop in the amp---

And my case? A samsonite suitcase that measures 21" x 26" that I got from a Thrift shop for under $5-and it's virtually indestructible-and I have definitely tortured it over the years!!

Boss Harmonist
Boss tremolo/pan pedal
Chorus pedal
Digitech Digital delay

Ernie Ball volume pedal also fits into the suitcase-it goes straight into the amp head.

nice!
got a pic ?

Yeah, they are a bit sloppy-but its a great way to set up you're effects quickly!!

The first shot is the pedal board-also some extra tools in bags I carry just in case there is a need-tape, soldering iron, small volt-ohm meter, pliers......

The next is the top compartment holding guitar stands & extra utility strips...

The last is everything in the suitcase ready to arrive at the gig...

I have been contemplating buying a pedal board for a while. You just convinced me to make one. I might try covering mine with tolex and adding some rubber feet. Does anyone know a good place to buy those items?

I built a similar setup where I mounted my Mackie 1202 and korg kp2 to some wood and then lined a suitcase I got for $2 at the thrift store with some foam. Works awesome. I should take some pics of that.

Electro-Harmonics makes a pedalbag..

I've got one, plenty room for Bigmuff, same sized BlackFinger and a couple of others...

It's got velcro in it and comes with an adhesive opposite velcro-strip.
