Hello,
I am having two major issues with Sonar.
Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

1. When I record audio and play it back it is completely gargled.

2. When I play a soft synth there is a significant delay from when I press a midi note on my keyboard to when I hear the DXi synth, even if I press the PREV button on the GUI of the VSC DXi.

Background:
Sound card - MAudio Delta 1010 , WDM driver 5.12.1.10(I also had this problem with a crappy SoundBlaster but that didn't surprise me.)
OS: Windows 2K

Sonar Audio Settings:
Playback Timing master 1:Delta 1010 1/2
Recording Timing master 1:Delta 1010 1/2
Aux busses = 2
Virtual Mains =5
Audio Driver Bit Depth = 16
Sampling Rate = 44100Hz, File Bit Depth 16
Buffers in Playback Queue = 2
Enable Read, Write Caching = disabled
I/O buffer= 64Kb
Always use MME = disabled
Apply Dither = enabled
Sync= Trigger and Freewheel
DMA buffer sizes are all @ 4096

Can you give me any tips? According to MAudio's website, I have a WDM driver for the card.

Other observations: When I try this on Windows 98SE problem #1 goes away but problem #2 still exists.

Thanks,
CMRogers

Problem Solved - Aud.ini

Problem 1 and 2 are solved.
I had to delete my Aud.ini file and have Sonar re-profile the card.

I think I got into this problem because I had a soundblaster previously configured and profiled by Sonar. Even though I re-profiled the Delta 1010 several times Sonar still used the Soundblaster settings until I deleted the Aud.ini.

Sonar Tech support was responsive and helpful.
Everything works now!!!!
